Firstly, when it comes to berries while following a keto diet, choose wisely. Not all types of berries are allowed. Raspberries, blueberries and strawberries are, though. For this particular recipe, we will use strawberries, but feel free to go wild and experiment with other types of keto-friendly berries too.

Avocado
Being low-carb and keto-friendly, avocado is rich in healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. Also, avocado will give your smoothie that creamy, yummy texture. By adding avocado in this smoothie, you will promote fat burning and you will get enough energy for the whole day.
Milk
Every smoothie needs a bit of liquid to be drinkable, ideally milk. In order to have that creamy flavour and texture, milk is essential. You can opt for dairy milk or plant-based milk (almond, coconut, cashew). You can even make your plant-based milk at home, it’s so easy! And this way you’ll make sure it’s natural and has no additives.
Berries
In this particular recipe, berries are used for sweetness and flavour. Strawberries are low-carb and are by far the sweetest keto-friendly berries. If you’re not into strawberries, you can also use blueberries or raspberries, whatever you like the most.
Sweetener
For a smooth texture, we recommend a powder sweetener, natural of course. You can either use stevia or monk fruit. Adjust it to your taste. If you find the smoothie sweet enough without the sweetener, you can leave it out.
How to make it?
Simple as 1, 2, 3. Grab your frozen or fresh strawberries, your milk (either dairy or plant-based), the peeled avocado and a dash of sweetener and toss them into the blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy this yummy, healthy and nourishing keto-friendly smoothie!
