Sweat is a natural process for eliminating unwanted toxins, but it can be really uncomfortable when it becomes too much. Fix your diet
What you eat is a huge factor that impacts how much you sweat, and adjusting your diet properly can make a big difference. Some foods can cause your body to produce more sweat than others.
For example, low fiber foods can make your digestive system work more in order to break down your foods, while high sodium intakes can cause your body to detox by excess urine and sweat, and high fat foods cause your body to warm as it processes the fat. Processed foods, garlic, onions, alcohol, caffeine or spicy foods can make you sweat more.
However, there are some foods that can reduce the amount of sweat your body produces. Dairy products, bananas, almonds, vegetables and fruits, green tea, oats and whey are known as foods that reduce sweat.
Drink plenty of water
By doing this, you are allowing your body to stay cool and prevent excessive sweating. If you can’t drink 3 litres per day, make sure you eat foods with high water content so you can have enough water in your body.
Wear breathable fabrics
Wearing tight, synthetic fabrics can cause excess sweat. Instead, opt for breathable fabrics and loose cuts. This will allow your armpits to breathe and can prevent excessive sweating.
Watch out for caffeine
Caffeine is a stimulator of the nervous system and can increase sweating. By raising your blood pressure and heart rate, it makes your body produce more sweat than usual. Try cutting down on your caffeinated beverages and see what changes.
Shave your armpits
If you suffer from excessive sweating armpits, shaving is a must. Hair maintains moisture and can also bring unwanted door alongside the sweat, so make sure you shave your armpits in order to keep yourself fresh and dry.
Take some time after you shower
Allow yourself at least 10 minutes for your body to cool down after you take a shower. Before immediately putting on clothes and starting to sweat, wait for 10 minutes and see the difference.
Making these small changes can bring a huge difference. However, if you have applied these changes and see no difference about it, consider consulting your doctor in order to get medical advice. There is a condition known as hyperhidrosis which can make you sweat in excess.
